Exuberance: A Harmonious Living Space Designed by Chien-Neng Chang

A Unique Residence Inspired by Biodiversity and Fluidity

Taking inspiration from the biodiversity of tropical areas, renowned designer Chien-Neng Chang has created Exuberance, a stunning residence that seamlessly blends nature, functionality, and elegance. With its concise layout and fluid flow, this living space caters to the needs of its residents, providing a harmonious environment for rest, work, and social gatherings.

Exuberance stands out with its innovative use of plantation, wooden, stone materials, and natural lighting. The absence of excessive decoration allows the rich textures and palettes inside the space to create a sense of harmony. The design encapsulates the essence of the surrounding environment, bringing the beauty of nature indoors.

One of the key strengths of Exuberance is its thoughtful layout, which effortlessly connects daily needs and habits. Designed based on the owner's habits and years of experience living abroad, the space functions as a versatile living area that caters to various activities. Whether it's hosting parties, family gatherings, or working from home, Exuberance provides a seamless transition between different functions.

The realization of Exuberance is a testament to Chien-Neng Chang's expertise in design and technology. The space features a great amount of storage rooms, ensuring practicality and efficiency in daily use and cleaning. Teak and marble are used to create a textured atmosphere, while tinted, patterned, or clear glasses add a touch of elegance. Each material is carefully selected to enhance the features of the surrounding architecture and environment.

Exuberance spans 57 square meters and is located in Taichung City, Taiwan. The project was completed in August 2021, showcasing the latest design trends and techniques in the region.

Chien-Neng Chang's research and attention to detail are evident in every aspect of Exuberance. The living room, designed as a private lounge for the owner, features floor-to-ceiling glass windows that invite abundant natural light into the space. The windows are adorned with curtains of different functions, allowing for privacy and control over the amount of light entering the room. The honeycomb blinds, with their adjustable height, provide a perfect balance between enjoying the cityscape and maintaining privacy.

Overcoming creative and technical challenges, Chien-Neng Chang has created a space that exudes elegance and functionality. The black-and-white marble veins on the wall add a visual element to the corridor, creating a vivid perception as one walks through the space. The hidden wooden door, positioned in the center of the vertical corridor, adds a touch of intrigue and serves as a focal point.

Exuberance has been recognized for its exceptional design and has been awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. This award is a testament to the design's practicality, innovation, and ability to meet professional and industrial requirements. Exuberance stands as a symbol of excellence in design, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to its residents and contributing to a better world.
